Spark Show May 3rd

Here's some pix from our last show. It was at a live house in Suzuka. We were asked at the last minute to play which was fine--not like we were booked or anything. The guy who owns the place is a bit of a dick though. AJET is in the process of setting up our Sayonara Party there and he's really anal and condescending. But it's a cool place and I'm looking forward to it. The band is winding down though. We're all going our separate ways at the end of July. I'm terribly sad about it. But that's life I guess. Posted by Picasa

I think the only reason I was going dance-o crazy was cuz there was a window right opposite of the stage and I could see myself. And you know what it's like to be a lil drunk and dance in front of a mirror, right? Don't even deny it. Posted by Picasa

I hate 1x1 rib with DPNs.

I always manage to fuck something up. Like, for instance, the cuffs on The Sweater. Today I discovered that for 8 rows on one stitch I had been purling instead of knitting and on the stitch next to it I had been knitting instead of purling. UGH! I had to drop both stitches all the way down and then alternate back and forth stitching each one up. I unfortunately learned the hard way that you can't stitch up one row and then do the other. Live and learn I guess. I can't wait for the day when I can zone out and knit perfectly.

The bane of my existance.

I have been working on this sweater since November '05. It was supposed to be an xmas present for my old man, but surprise surprise, it was nowhere near being complete. (No thanks in part to the company I ordered the yarn from) I think this pic was taken around February this year. It's a Knitting Pure and Simple design, which is pretty simple (I dunno about pure), but since my dad's bigger than me, this sweater is taking forr-eeev-errrr. So yeah, still working on it, almost done in time for his birthday (I hope...) Posted by Picasa
